We are a group of multi-disciplined construction professionals. With experience of working throughout the British Isles, our background is rooted in project delivery. Our approach to work is simple: we don't stop until the job is done.
Auxilium was founded from a simple question; would you like your child to work in construction? At the time the answer was no. From that sprang a desire to make the answer yes.
So how are we doing that? Working with our clients we aim to remove the contention from construction. By investing in ourselves and taking the lessons learnt along the way we work with our clients to establish optimal procurement routes with clear scopes and an understood risk profile. After that honesty and ownership go a long way.

The UK construction sector has a poor reputation both in terms of productivity and ability to deliver within project budgets.
The sector is also perceived as highly adversarial, with high levels of workplace stress and conflict. Construction contracting organisations operate on small margins, and the sector typically accounts for around 17% of all company insolvencies each year.

Our background is rooted in self-delivery principal and main contractors. All service providers have a minimum of five years working for contractor organisations — the foundation that makes our risk management genuinely effective.

Our People
Meet the Team
Terence is an experienced Civil Engineer with a background in construction project delivery across a wide range of sectors. Terence is results orientated, has extensive experience in management and leadership, with a range of expertise which is uncommonly diverse. Terence has experience working for both client and contracting organisation. His early career focused on the delivery of the design and construction phases of projects whilst latterly the knowledge gained has been used to support front end engineering works and dispute resolution activities. His career started off as a groundworker before moving into site engineering and progressing through various management roles to contracts manager level. He has primarily worked under NEC and FIDIC contract forms. Terence is a member of the Edinburgh Napier Industry Advisory Board and a Teaching Fellow of the institution. Terence founded Auxilium in 2022.
Ross is a Civil Engineer with extensive experience across the full project lifecycle, spanning development, design, and delivery. After completing his undergraduate degree in civil engineering, he worked on a range of projects with self-delivery contractors. During this time, he rapidly progressed from Site Engineer to Site Agent and then to Project Manager, before transitioning into front-end project development. This breadth of experience enables Ross to anticipate potential risks, plan effectively, and put measures in place to ensure successful project delivery. He has a particular focus on the NEC4 suite of standard form contracts. Ross joined Auxilium in 2024 and was appointed Director in 2026.
Ross is an experienced civil engineering professional with a strong background across the power transmission, water, and renewable energy sectors. He began his career as a Civil Engineer Apprentice and has steadily progressed through roles including Site Engineer, Section Engineer, Site Manager, and now Project Manager. Throughout his career, he has predominantly worked under NEC3 and NEC4 contracts across a wide range of projects. Ross has developed a well-rounded skillset through his involvement in both the design and delivery phases of projects, working on behalf of both contractors and clients. This dual perspective has enabled him to effectively apply his experience to contract management, including the administration of NEC contracts, management of change through compensation events, early warning processes, and ensuring contractual compliance across project teams. He consistently drives project delivery with a focus on safety, quality, and commercial awareness, ensuring that project objectives are achieved efficiently and in accordance with contractual requirements. Ross joined Auxilium in 2025.
